Christopher A. Scott is director of the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy, professor in the School of Geography and Development, and director of the Consortium for Arizona-Mexico Arid Environments at the University of Arizona. He chairs the Consensus Study on U.S.-Mexico Drylands of the two countries’ national academies of science.
